Baked Spaghetti
Hearty baked spaghetti layered like lasagna with beefy sauce, creamy cottage/cream cheese filling, and melted mozzarella. Great make-ahead family dinner baked until hot and bubbly.

Instructions
Step 1
Brown ground beef with chopped onion. Drain. Add spaghetti sauce (I do doctor mine with fresh garlic, Italian seasoning, and about 1 tablespoon sugar). Let simmer for about 1 hour to let seasoning blend.
Step 2
In a separate bowl blend the cream cheese and the cottage cheese together.
Step 3
Boil noodles according to package. Drain and cool the noodles down.
Step 4
Beat the egg in a separate bowl and then pour over cooled noodles. Work the egg into the noodles. (This will help set the noodles and makes it easier to serve.)
Step 5
In a greased 9x13 layer like you would lasagna: Noodles, Cheese, Sauce. Repeat ending with Sauce.
Step 6
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Top with Mozzarella cheese and return just long enough to melt.
