Instructions

Step 1
Season both sides of 1 lb boneless pork chops with 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp oregano or Italian seasoning, ½ tsp smoked paprika, and salt and black pepper to taste.
Step 2
Heat 2 tbsp unsalted butter and 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned pork chops and cook for 5–6 minutes per side, until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 145°F. Remove pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
Step 3
In the same skillet, add 8 oz sliced baby Bella mushrooms and ¼ cup minced onion. Sauté for 2–3 minutes until tender. Add 3–4 minced garlic cloves and a pinch of salt and black pepper. Cook for another 1 minute, stirring until fragrant.
Step 4
Reduce heat to low. Add 1½ cups heavy cream, ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese, and 2 tbsp fresh herbs (optional). Stir until combined and simmer gently for 1–2 minutes, or until the sauce begins to thicken. Taste and adjust salt and pepper as needed.
Step 5
Return the cooked pork chops and any accumulated juices to the skillet. Spoon the creamy mushroom sauce over the pork chops and simmer for another 1–2 minutes, until heated through. Allow the pork chops to rest for at least 3 minutes before serving. Serve with pasta, rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables.
