Instructions
Step 1
1. Preparing the oven and dough • Preheat the oven to 220 °C (if you have one, turn on the fan option). The oven must be very hot so that the puff pastry bakes quickly.
• Roll out the puff pastry on a work surface. If you are using fresh pastry, it is already on baking paper.
• Cut out shapes: You can cut the pastry into small squares (e.g. 8x8 cm) or cut out circles with a glass. Place the pizzas immediately on a baking sheet (along with the paper). 2. Filling (Arranging the pizzas) • Sauce: Place a teaspoon of passata in the middle of each piece of pastry. Spread it lightly, but be sure to leave the edges empty (about 1 cm) so that the pastry can rise during baking.
• Seasoning: Sprinkle the passata with a little oregano.
• Toppings: Place the ham on the tomatoes, then sprinkle generously with grated cheese. 3. Baking • Place the baking sheet in a well-heated oven.
• Bake for exactly 5 minutes.
• The pizzas are ready when the cheese is completely melted and lightly browned, and the edges of the dough are crispy. 💡 Tips for the best result • Don't overdo it with the sauce: If you put too much sauce, the middle of the pizza will remain soggy, and the puff pastry won't be able to bake in such a short time.
• Trick for shiny edges: Before baking, you can brush the empty edges of the dough with beaten eggs. This will give them a beautiful shine and an even more beautiful golden color.
• Serving: Let them cool for a minute or two before eating because the melted cheese is very hot!
