Vegetable-Whatever Soup
5 steps
Prep:5minCook:15min
Looks like a lot of ingredients, but uses mostly canned stuff, with whatever leftover meat you might have.
This was a "throw it in there" recipe. I don't take it very seriously, and neither should you!
Use it as a blueprint for a soup that you tailor to your own tastes. You can use just about any meat, veggie, or bean. The premade Progresso Soup pulls the weight of the flavor, you just add in your texture.

If you have a can of diced potatoes, and need to stretch this soup further, throw it in too
Instructions
Step 1
Sautee diced onion until soft in a little butter or oil, add garlic and cook till fragrant. (about 30 seconds) add in other ingredients
Step 2
Consider your meat. What do you have available? Cooked meatballs, leftover chicken breast, ground beef, or cubes of steak. You could even do Italian, or smoked sausage. Just chop it up and add it in. (Just make sure it's cooked first)
Step 3
Add in other ingredients and give a good stir. Bring to a simmer.
Step 4
Consider the liquid level. If it's too thin, add some extra meat or veggies. If it's too thick, add a little water or chicken broth (if you have it).
Step 5
Simmer on lowish for as long as you need or until you're too hungry to wait anymore.
