Step 1
Cook rice according to package.
Step 2
Brown sausage and remove from pan. Sauté mushrooms and onion in sausage fat. Return sausage to the pan.
Step 3
In a separate pot, mix flour and heavy cream until smooth over medium heat. Add chicken broth and stir until slightly thickened. Add spices.
Step 4
Combine all and put into buttered casserole dish, top with almonds.
Step 5
Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.
