Instructions
Step 1
Soup: To a large pot over medium heat, add four chicken breasts that have been seasoned with salt and pepper. Once in the pot, sprinkle on top of the chicken the ground ginger and poultry seasoning, cumin, and tarragon. Cook until the chicken is done, and remove it from the pot. In the same pot, add the onion, celery, carrots to the pot and cook until translucent. Once ready, add the cloves of garlic and butter, then mix. Next, add your chopped chicken back into the pot, along with four tablespoons of flour. Mix. Then add the chicken broth and cream to the pot, along with fresh Rosemary, and two bay leaves. Bring it to a simmer and start work on the dumplings.
Step 2
Dumplings:
In a separate bowl, add the flour and baking powder together. Next, add the cream and mix all together, then add a bit of salt and pepper to taste. Mix with a spatula so it comes together but it's still slightly sticky. You can either form your dough balls or use an ice cream scoop to shape them. Then are ready to be dropped into the pot of soup
Step 3
Finishing Touches:
Once the dumplings are shaped, remove the bay leaf and rosemary from the soup, then add in the dumplings and cover the soup to 10 to 15 minutes until the dumplings have doubled in size. Garnish with fresh parsley and dill. Enjoy!
