Instructions

Step 1
Wash the wheat and put it into a pot. Add 1,5 cup water. Let it boil until the wheat gets really soft. If the water is evaporated too much, you can add some boiled water. You can use pressure cooker to save time.

When the wheat is cooked, chop the onion finely. Melt the butter into a small pan. Cook the finely chopped onion on high heat until it starts to caramelise. Then, add thyme and mix well. Put it aside.

Mix the yogurt and the water well to prepare an ayran. Add one beaten egg and mix well.

Slowly pour the ayran with egg into the cooked wheat, and whisk continuously. Cook the soup on high heat while whisking until it boils and gets thicker.

Then, add the cooked onion. Give it a whisk. It is ready! Bon appetite!
