Instructions

Step 1
SO BASIC, BUT COMPLETELY IRRESISTIBLE.

DON'T BE TEMPTED TO ADD THE SOY SAUCE AT THE BEGINNING.

LETTING THE BROCCOLI ROAST DRY FIRST MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE!
Step 4
Preheat oven to 350°F / 180°C.
Step 5
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 6
Place frozen broccoli on prepared baking sheet.
Step 7
(If frozen broccoli is clumped together, wait a little bit and then separate pieces, discarding any ice clumps that have accumulated.)
Step 8
Drizzle oil over the broccoli.
Step 9
Add salt, pepper, red pepper flakes (if using), and garlic.
Step 10
Toss to combine.
Step 11
Roast for 45 minutes until the broccoli is cooked and the edges begin to char.
Step 12
Do NOT open the oven, mix the broccoli, or move around the pan
Step 13
AT ALL during those first 45 minutes.
Step 14
Pull out oven rack and drizzle soy sauce over broccoli.
Step 15
Return to oven; roast for 5-6 minutes.
