Instructions

Step 1
Cut beef into thin cross grain slices.
Step 2
Combine sugar, soy sauce, sesame seeds, green onion, garlic powder and pepper with ½ of the oil. Mix well.
Step 3
Add beef and let stand at least 15 minutes to marinate.
Step 4
Heat the other ½ of the oil on high heat (8/10 on electric stove) while the rice simmers. Continue to heat until you can see the oil lightly smoking, then pour in the other ingredients and cook on medium-high heat for 5-7 min.
Step 5
Serve immediately over steamed rice.
