Chicken in White Wine Sauce

Ingredients
4 servings

50gbutter
4Bone in Chicken Breast Fillets
with Skin

350mlchicken stock
or as needed

250mldry white wine

4garlic cloves
peeled

1 Tbspplain flour

1 tspsalt

1 tsppepper

250mldouble cream
Instructions
Step 1
Melt butter in a large frying pan over a medium - high heat. Add chicken and cook until brown on both sides.
Step 2
Pour in chicken stock and white wine, using enough stock so that the chicken pieces are covered halfway to two thirds by liquid. Add whole garlic cloves. Reduce heat to medium - low, sprinkle flour over the top of the contents and cover with a lid. Simmer for 40-45mins, until chicken is cooked through.
Step 3
When chicken is cooked, remove to a dish and keep warm. Boil the liquid until reduced to about 350ml. Whisk cream into the reduced liquid, breaking up garlic. Return chicken to pan and heat through.
Step 4
Season to taste and serve with potatoes and choice of greens.
