Step 1
For caramel: combine sugar, water and lemon juice in a saucepan. Heaton low heat until caramel is amber color (like honey).
Step 2
Quickly pour caramel in baking dish and swirl to coat.
Step 3
Gently heat milk and sugar till warm.
Step 4
Beat eggs, yolks and vanilla in large bowl till yolk streaks disappear. Add warm milk little at a time.
Step 5
Pour in baking dish. Bake in a water bath at 325 F for 50-60 minutes.
