Step 1

On med/high - Brown bacon trimmings, add onion and saute, then add hamburger and beef stew seasoning and brown. Scrape up fond from bottom of pan and add some beef stock to release the browned bits on the bottom of the pan. Add V8, beef stock and/or water. Add potatoes and mixed vegetables, bring to a simmer and drop heat to low.
