Lemon chicken alfredo
1 pound cubed chicken breast
1 tsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 tbs butter
2 cloves crushed garlic
1 tbs lemon zest
2 tbs lemon juice
2 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
1 pound pasta
1 cup pasta water
2 cups broccoli
In a large pan over medium high add olive oil ,chicken, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Cook through and remove from the pan. Cook pasta according to the package directions reserve 1 cup pasta water and when five minutes is remaining add broccoli then drain and set aside. In the same skillet you cooked the chicken melt butter. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add flour and whisk for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in heavy cream and bring to a boil. Add lemon juice lemon zest and parmesan cheese. Whisk until cheese is fully melted. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss together with chicken pasta and broccoli. Enjoy!
