Instructions
Step 1
1 Heat oil in Dutch Oven over medium-High. Add sausage; cook about 8 minutes or until browned, breaking up meat into bite-size pieces. Add onion; cook and stir for 5 minutes or until softened. Add fennel seeds; cook and stir 30 seconds. Add tomato paste; cook and stir 1 minute.
Step 2
2 Stir in broth, tomatoes, water, rice, salt, black pepper; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low ( in electrical stove setting (3/5); cook covered for 18 minutes. Stir spinach; cook covered for 10 minutes.
