I love to sauté onions and garlic and reduce with some white wine and veggie broth. Then add my grits and full fat coconut milk. then seaso., stir, cover and cook on low till done. These go so well with tempeh bacon, kale and tofu scramble.

Instructions

Step 1
Saute your onions and garlic in oil till gold brown. Deglaze with white wine, add your thyme and allow to reduce. Add your veggie stock and reduce a bit more.
Step 2
Add your grits and mix with your mixture and after stirring in then stir in your coconut milk and season.
Step 3
Cover with a lid and allow to cook on low for about 20 min, till soft but tender.
Step 4
Add your butter and thicken with plant based milk if needed and enjoy !
