Lemon butter salmon with creamy mashed potato

Salmon with lemon butter sauce which cuts the fishyness of the salmon and the mashed potato is nice and creamy with compliments the rest of the dish.

Instructions

For the salmon

Step 1
Season the salmon with salt and pepper

Let rest for at least 5 mins

Then take a paper towel at wipe till dry

Take a pan and add oil and wait till hot

Add salmon skin down and sear until crispy

Flip the salmon and sear the other side until cooked

For the sauce

Add your butter into a pan until melted

Add your lemon juice and stir until combined

Add your honey and stir till combined

Add garlic and lemon zest and stir until fragrant

For the potato

First peel your potatoes

Then cut into small cubes

Then boil until fully cooked

Take your potatoes out and into an ice bath

Mash your potatoes with a potato masher or with a fork

Cut your butter into small cubes then add to your potatoes and mash again
