Ingredients
6 servings

2cloves garlic
diced

1onion
medium, diced

1 Tbspolive oil

2 Tbspflour

3 Tbspbutter

6 cupstomatoes

2 Tbspfresh basil
or 1 tbsp dried oregano

3 cupsbroth
any kind

1 Tbspvinegar
apple cider vinegar or red wine vinegar is best, but white will do

¼ cupmilk
or cream, I always use cream

salt
to taste

pepper
to taste

Parmesan
Shredded, optional
Instructions
Step 1
Sauté onions and garlic in the olive oil until soft and translucent. Stir often or they'll burn
Step 2
Add 2 tbsp flour and mix well. Add butter and stir until melted.
Step 3
Add everything else EXCEPT the milk or cream.
Step 4
Simmer for 25-30 minutes until tomatoes are really soft.
Step 5
Add milk/ cream and blend with a stick blender.
Step 6
Add more salt and pepper if necessary.
Step 7
Add Parmesan on top if you want!
