These southern buttermilk biscuits are best with White Lily self rising flour. Cook them in a buttered cast iron skillet.

Instructions

Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Butter the cast iron skillet. Stir ingredients 10-15 times, being careful to not over mix. Handling the dough too much makes tough biscuits. Turn the sticky dough onto a floured surface. Roll the dough 1-2 times, again being careful to not over mix or overwork. Cut the biscuits out and place in the pan with sides touching each other. This will allow the biscuits to rise to their full potential. Bake for 15 minutes.
