Step 1
Peel and cut potatoes into 1.5in chunks
Step 2
Bring a large pot of generously salted water to a boil
Step 3
Add the potatoes and cook until tender when pierced with a knife, 15-20 minutes. Drain and return potatoes to the pot.
Step 4
Mash the potatoes with a potato masher, adding the milk, heavy cream, butter, salt, and pepper, mashing as you go, until they are creamy, smooth, and well blended.
