Grandma’s Baked Mac and cheese

A baked mac and cheese sure to please everyone during the holidays!

Instructions

Step 1
In a large pot, melt the stick of butter over medium heat. Once melted, add heavy cream, evaporated milk and sour cream. mix until smooth.

Step 2
One combined, about 1-3 minutes, add paprika, garlic powder, pepper, and salt to taste. Whisk together.

Step 3
Add 1 cup of cheddar and 1/2 cup of parmesan to the mixture. Stir periodically until all cheese is melted ensuring you don’t burn the mixture. Once completed, set aside.

Step 4
In a butter greased baking pan, add al dente macaroni pasta and one egg. Mix together until egg is throughly incorporated.

Step 5
Sprinkle 1 cup of cheddar and 1 cup of gruyere over the macaroni-egg mixture and stir. Once incorporated, ladle sauce mixture over the macaroni and stir.

Step 6
Cover macaroni with foil and back at 400 for about thirty minutes.
Step 7
When thirty minutes are up, remove macaroni from the oven and cover with remaining 1 cup of cheddar, 1 cup of gruyere, 1/2 cup of parmesan and breadcrumbs. place back in the oven uncovered and bake until the cheese is bubbling, about 30 minutes.

Step 8
Remove mac and cheese from the oven and serve!
