Slow cooker chili with bacon

What’s better than a warm bowl of chili that’s been cooking all day with all the fixings on a cool night? Not much! This recipe has crispy bacon too!

Instructions

Step 1
Cook the ground beef in a large pot or pan, season to taste with salt and pepper.
Step 2
When cooked through add to a sprayed or lined slow cooker.
Step 3
Wipe out the pan and cook the bacon until crisp. Remove the bacon, chop and add to the slow cooker.
Step 4
Cook the onion and peppers in the bacon grease, 4-5 minutes. Add a splash of water or stock and scrape the brown bits on the pan. Add the garlic and cook 30 seconds. Add the veggies to the slow cooker
Step 5
Add the rest of the ingredients.
Step 6
Cook on low 6-7 hours or high 3-4 hours
