1 cupteriyaki marinade
¼ cuppineapple juice
from pineapple
6pineapple rings
Teriyaki glaze
Instructions
Step 1
Place pork chops into a gallon-size zip-top bag, and pour
teriyaki marinade and pineapple juice over chops. Knead to
combine. Marinate at least 4 hours or overnight if possible.
Step 2
Preheat grill to medium.
Step 3
Remove pork chops from marinade, and discard marinade.
Grill 6-8 minutes per side or until a meat thermometer
inserted into the thickest part reaches 145°F. Grill pineapple
slices 5 minutes, turning once.
To make glaze:
Step 4
In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown
sugar, water, ginger and garlic. Cook over low heat until brown sugar dissolves. In a small bowl mix 2 tablespoons cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water. Add to glaze, and continue cooking until desired consistency is reached.
Step 5
Serve pork chops topped with grilled pineapple and drizzled
with teriyaki glaze.
Note:
Step 6
Extended marinating time needed. To save time and
money, purchase a cored pineapple, slice into rings and use juice.
