Step 1
Cover beans with 2-3 inches of water and soak overnight
dry cannellini beans1 pound

Drain beans and rinse well
Step 3
Cover beans with 2-3 of fresh water and bring to boil. Simmer until tender, about 90 minutes
Step 4
Sauté onions and garlic in olive oil until onions are translucent.
Step 5
Add rest of ingredients. Bring to a boil and then simmer for at least 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 6
The broth should begin to thicken. Simmer for up to 40 minutes.
