Instructions
Step 1
Mix your salt, Chinese 5 spice and pepper into a bowl
Step 2
Pour enough groundnut oil in a pan for frying and let it heat up
Step 3
Coat your chicken in cornflour, whisked egg and cornflour again
Step 4
Immediately transfer to the oil, frying for 3 mins, turning halfway
Step 5
Once the chicken is cooked, transfer to a wire rack or place onto a cloth
Step 6
To a pan, add your oil and cook off your onions, peppers and garlic
Step 7
Add your chicken to the pan, then sprinkle over the Chinese 5 spice mix and stir continuously
Step 8
Pour over your hot water and stir again
Step 9
Plate up and enjoy!
