Musakhan is a Palestinian dish traditionally made in a large flatbread with a lot of onions, sumac, and chicken quarters. This way is super easy and great for kids! Can be made vegan with grilled mushrooms. 🌱

Instructions
Step 1
Lightly pound chicken bread and remove and fat. Cut chicken into small cubes.
Step 2
Cut all the onions into small square pieces as well
Step 3
Drizzle olive oil on pan and sauté onions but not completely caramelized. Remove from heat and place in bowl.
Step 4
Heat pan on medium high and drizzle with olive oil and Sauté chicken.
Step 5
Once chicken turned white add the onions and sumac and toss with a little more olive for for a few seconds in the pan. Remove from heat.
Step 6
Preheat oven 400f

Step 7
Brush pita with olive oil and place chicken and onions on top of pita.
Step 8
Bake until Pita is crispy but not burned. ( keep your eye on it)
Step 9
Eat right away and if you like spice add Jalapeño.
