Step 1
Dice the onion, cut the potatoes before you begin.

Cut the chicken breast into 1-inch pieces.
Step 3
Add 50ml oil to a large pot. Heat the oil over medium until it's hot and sizzling.

Add onion and sauté until the onions are soft. Add chicken to the pot with oil and allow the chicken to brown on all sides (avoid stirring until browned on the bottom). Use the moisture released by the onion to dissolve and scrape the browned bits off the bottom of the pot.

When the chicken is browned, add potatoes and water. Add salt and dry spice

Step 6
Place a lid on the pot and allow it to come up to a boil. Once it reaches a boil, remove the lid and turn the heat down to medium-low. Allow the stew to simmer over medium-low, without a lid and stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the broth has thickened.
Step 7
Add a tablespoon of fresh chopped parsley and dill if desired, and serve hot. You can also add fresh spicy radish for serving.
