Ingredients

10gbutter

1brown onion
medium

2 TSPgarlic
chopped or minced

2 tspchilli powder

2 TSPginger
chopped

500gchicken thigh
cubed
450gbutter chicken

½ tspground cinnamon

0.5 TSPground coriander

0.5 TSPground cumin

400gcanned diced tomato

800mlwater
use butter chicken bottle and tomato can as measurement

600gbutternut pumpkin
cubed
Instructions
Step 1

Add butter to pot on low-medium heat.
Step 2
Add onion, garlic, ginger and chilli to pot and sautee until clear. Cook on medium-high heat
Step 3

Add spices to pot, cook for 2 minutes
Step 4

Add chicken to pot and combine. Cook until chicken has browned on outside and is coated in spices. Cook on medium-high heat.
Step 5

Add Patak butter chicken sauce to pot, fill empty sauce bottle with water (up to neck), shake, and add to pot.
Step 6

Add pumpkin and diced tomato to pot, and add more water by using tomato can, filled with water. Bring up to boil.
Step 7

Once it is at a rolling boil, lower to low heat and simmer. Simmer for at least an hour.
