Ingredients

For the batter

1 headcauliflower
chopped into florets

¾ cupflour

1 tablespoonchili paste
any

¾ cupmilk

2 teaspoonslemon juice
or apple cider vinegar

½ teaspoonsea salt

½ teaspoonground black pepper

1 teaspoongarlic powder

½ teaspoononion powder

1 cupPanko breadcrumbs
crispy, seasoned with salt pepper onion powder & garlic powder
For the sauce

For the batter
Step 1
Preheat oven 230 degrees C for 22 min
Step 2
Cut the cauliflower into florets
Step 3
In a bowl, mix all the batter ingredients except the breadcrumbs
Step 4
Place the florets into the batter until all coated
Step 5
In another bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with the seasonings and pour it into the battered cauliflower until all coated
Step 6
In a pan with parchment paper, place each florets giving enough space between each other and bake
For the sauce
Step 7
Heat a pan over medium high heat and add in a splash of oil. Fry the garlic for 1-2 minutes until golden then add in the soy sauce, maple syrup, tomato paste and vinegar. Mix well to combine and gently simmer for 1 minute.
Step 8
Mix together the cornflour and water before pouring into the pan. Cook on medium heat until thickened.
Step 9
Turn off the heat and add in the cauliflower. Toss well to coat.
Step 10
Transfer to a plate and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
