Quick comforting pasta for a busy day. No jarred sauces here when homemade is so easy to do.
Add a salad on the side to up get your veggies in for the day and to clean out the leftover odds and sods in the fridge at week's end - getting ready for a new round of grocery shopping.

Instructions
Step 1
Cook pasta according to package directions (remember to salt the water like the sea!)
Step 2
Reserve 2 cups of the pasta cooking water
Step 3
In a large skillet melt butter and saute garlic for a 2 minutes
Step 4
Add cream, salt & pepper and simmer until the cream is reduced and thickened. The cream will coat the back of a spoon. Add the chicken and or mushrooms and heat through.
Step 5
Add cooked pasta and toss to coat.
Step 6
Start with adding 1 cup of pasta water to loosen the pasta and evenly coat the pasta with creamy sauce. Toss to coat and add more water if needed.
Step 7
Add parmesan cheese and parsley.
