Instructions
Step 1
1. Grease and line a 28x18cm (11x7inch) cake tin.
Step 2
2. Cream 75g (3 oz) butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Step 3
3. Beat in egg and milk.
Step 4
4. Fold in 200g (7 oz) flour.
Step 5
5. Place half the mixture in a prepared cake tin.
Step 6
6. Rub remaining butter into brown sugar, cinnamon and remaining flour.
Step 7
7. Stir in nuts and sprinkle half over mixture in tin.
Step 8
8. Cover with remaining cake mixture, then remaining nut mixture.
Step 9
9. Bake at 180°C (350°F) Mark 4 for 35-40 minutes.
Step 10
10. Cool in the tin then cut into bars to serve.
