Ingredients
4 servings

1yellow onion
small, diced

1 Tbspolive oil

2 clovesgarlic
minced

½ Tbspginger paste

1 lbground chicken

1 ½ tspsesame oil

1 Tbspsriracha
more for topping

2 Tbsprice vinegar

3 Tbsplow sodium soy sauce

3 Tbsphoisin sauce

¼ cupgreen onion
chopped, more for topping

1can diced water chestnuts
chopped

1 headbutter lettuce

carrots
shredded, to serve

sesame seeds
to serve

sriracha
to serve
Instructions
Step 1
In a large sauce pan, heat olive oil. Add onion and sauté until mostly cooked
Step 2
Add in garlic and ginger, cook for one minute, then add in ground chicken
Step 3
Allow chicken to cook almost all the way through, and while chicken is cooking, prepare sauce
Step 4
In a bowl, whisk together sesame oil, sriracha, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and hoisin sauce
Step 5
Add in the sauce to the chicken and reduce heat to let simmer
Step 6
Stir in diced green onion and water chestnuts and allow sauce to thicken
Step 7
Once thickened, remove from heat
Step 8
Wash and dry butter lettuce leaves
Step 9
Add about 1/3 cup chicken mixture to each butter leaf and add toppings
