For the filling:
Step 1
In a bowl, combine the room temperature unsalted butter, light brown sugar, and ground cinnamon. Mix until well combined

For the French toast:

Using a rolling pin, flatten the 12 slices of bread.

Use a 4” heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out the slices.

Optional: I don’t like wasting the scraps. I used a small heart shaped cookie cutter to make mini hearts. You can also tear the bread up with your hands, doesn’t matter <3

Spread a layer of the cinnamon mixture onto the cut out bread.

Place another piece of bread on top. Use a fork to seal the sides.

Repeat the process until you run out. Set aside.
Step 9
In a bowl, combine the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Whisk until well combined.

Dip the cinnamon stuffed bread until well coated. (Dont soak for too long)

Lightly grease a non stick pan with some butter or cooking spray. Cook on medium heat until golden brown on each side.

In a bowl, whisk the granulated sugar and cinnamon.

Dip the French toast while they’re still slightly greasy from the butter, this will help the sugar stick.
