Instructions

Step 1
Add white long grain rice and 400ml (600ml) cold water to a pot with a lid and bring to a boil over a high heat. Once boiling reduce the heat to low and cook, covered, for 18-20 min. Once cooked remove from heat and keep covered until serving.
Step 2
While rice is cooking, deseed and cut up peppers into large pieces. Heat a large pan (preferable non-stick) with a drizzle of vegetable oil over high heat. Once hot add chopped peppers and cook for 4-5 min.
Step 3
Peel and finely chop/grate ginger.
Step 4
Once peppers have softened, transfer the to a plate and reserve the pan.
Step 5
Return the pan to a high heat and add the beef mince. Cook for 3-4 min.
Step 6
Once beef has browned add the cornflour, chilli flakes, chopped ginger, garlic, and cook for 1 min. Add soy sauce and honey then return the softened peppers to the pan and cook for 1-2 min or until sticky.

Step 7
Once beef is sticky, remove pan from heat, sprinkle over sesame seeds and mix.
