SPICY TUNA CRISPY HASHBROWN BITES

So we’ve all seen the very popular spicy tuna crispy rice bites from NOBU but have you seen it made with hashbrowns? You get that same crunch of the crispy rice but then you get the fluffy saltiness of the potato that pairs so well with the creamy avocado and spicy tuna. It also saves you a whole hour of time with this hack!

SPICY TUNA
1 poundahi tuna
finely chopped into small pieces
¼ cupmayonnaise
Kewpie mayo, preferred
3 tablespoonssriracha
1 tablespoonslow sodium soy sauce
2 teaspoonssesame oil
0.5juice of lime
¼ cupgreen onions
thinly sliced
SPICY MAYO
½ cupmayonnaise
1 tablespoonssambal
1 tablespoonsriracha
¼ teaspoonsesame oil
½ teaspoonsugar
1 teaspoonlemon juice

Instructions
MAKE THE SPICY TUNA
Step 1
To a bowl, add the finely diced tuna along with mayonnaise, sriracha, soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, and sliced green onions. Mix together.
SPICY MAYO
Step 2
To make the spicy mayo, mix together mayo, sambal, sriracha, sesame oil, sugar, and lemon juice in a small bowl. Once it's creamy and smooth, set aside.
PREPARE THE HASBROWNS
Step 3
To make it in the air fryer: Preheat to 400°F. Place the hasbrowns patties in the air fryer, making sure not to overcrowd them. You don't have to spray them with oil but I like to so they turn out even more crispy. Cook for 6-8 minutes, flip over, and cook another 6 to 8 minutes until golden brown and crispy all around.
Step 4
To make it in the oven: Preheat oven to 425°F. Place patties on a wire rack or lined baking tray and bake for 24-26 minutes, flipping after 12 minutes. Cook to a light golden color or until golden brown and crispy all around.
HOW TO ASSEMBLE
Step 5
Add thinly sliced avocado on top of the fried rice. You can leave it sliced and unseasoned or mash it with a little salt and black pepper and add on top.
Step 6
Add about 1 to 2 tablespoons of the spicy tuna on top. Then add a drizzle of spicy mayo on top along a sprinkle of sesame seeds and enjoy!
