Step 1
In a large skillet over medium high heat, heat the olive oil until it shimmers. Add the beef. Cook, stirring, until it browns 3 to 5 minutes. With a slotted spoon, remove the beef from the oil and set it aside on a plate.
Step 2
Add the broccoli to the oil. Cook, stirring, until it is crisp-tender, about 4 minutes.
Step 3
Add the garlic and the ginger and cook, stirring constantly for 30 seconds.
Step 4
Return beef to the pan, along with any juices that have collected.
Step 5
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, broth, and mustard.
Step 6
Add the soy sauce mixture to the skillet and cook, stirring, until everything warms through, about 3 minutes.
