Tatale are delicious small spicy plantain patties that are also called the "golden pancakes of Ghana". The addition of some oats to the batter boosts the nutritional value of these delicious patties. They are generally served with bambara beans.

Instructions
Step 1
1. Slice the plantains and place in a large bowl and immediately sprinkle with lemon juice

2. With a fork, mash the plantains and add the onion and ginger
Step 3
3. Add the corn flour, oats, chilli and salt and mix well with a wooden spoon.
Step 4
4. In a deep pan heat some vegetable oil over medium heat.
Step 5
5. From balls the size of a ping-pong ball, flatten them slightly and fry on both sides until they are golden brown.
Step 6
6. Serve immediately.
