Instructions
Step 1
Wash clams well, and soak clams with salted water for at least 30 minutes.
Step 2
Heat olive oil on low heat, add garlic and cook for a minute. Keep low heat.
Step 3
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta 1 minute shorter than instruction, reserving ½ cup of the pasta cooking water, drain the pasta.
Step 4
Add clams, white wine, chopped parsley, red chili pepper flakes, cover with a lid, and cook over high heat until the clams open.
Step 5
Add cooked pasta and pasta cooking liquid and toss. Check the taste. Add salt if you desire.
