Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
Step 2
Place the shishito peppers in a mixing bowl.
Step 3
Pour the sesame (or other high heat oil) over the peppers and toss to coat.
Step 4
Dump the peppers out onto a baking sheet.
Step 5
Sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
Step 6
Roast in the oven for 6 minutes, or until peppers are blistered and puffy.
Step 7
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix together, minced garlic, soy sauce, shatta, and honey. Set aside.
Step 8
Remove peppers from the oven, place in a pan with the sauce on high heat for two minutes, tossing constantly.
Step 9
Move shishito peppers and sauce into a bowl and top with toasted sesame seeds. To eat: grab by the stem and eat pepper, discarding the stem. Enjoy!
