Nutella Creme Brulee

Instructions

Step 1
Pour the cream into a saucepan along with the vanilla extract, mix and gently bring to a boil.

When it comes to a boil turn off the heat and allow it to cool slightly.

Add the egg yokes to a bowl along with the sugar and whisk them together.

Gently heat the Nutella until it loosens and add it to the eggs and sugar and whisk until smooth.

Slowly add the warm cream to the egg and Nutella mixture constantly whisking until all the cream has been added.

Pour the creme mixture into ramekins depending on the size of your ramekins it should be enough to fill 3.

Place the ramekins into a deep dish and pour water into the dish until it reaches halfway up the ramekins.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

Place the deep dish into the oven for 30 minutes.

Check that the creme has a wobbly centre, this shows that it has set.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool.

Place the ramekins into the refrigerator and cool for at least an hour.

Remove the ramekins from the refrigerator and sprinkle 1.5 tsp of sugar evenly over the top of each ramekin.
Step 14
Using a blowtorch gently caramelise the sugar until golden brown then place them back into the refrigerator for at least 15mins.

Serve on their own or with fruit, lick your lips and enjoy.
