Ingredients

1onion
medium, chopped
2 Tbspbutter
2 x 14.5 ouncesdiced tomatoes
cans, undrained, OR leave out the onions and butter and switch one can of regular diced tomatoes with one can of Italian style diced tomatoes
2 x 10.75 ouncescondensed tomato soup
cans, undiluted
1 ½ cupsmilk
1 tspsugar
½ tspdried basil
½ tsppaprika
⅛ tspgarlic powder
1 packagecream cheese
cubed
Instructions
Step 1
In a large saucepan, sauté onion in butter until tender.
Step 2
Stir in the tomatoes, soup, milk, sugar , basil , paprika and garlic powder.
Step 3
Bring to a boil.
Step 4
Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 5
Add cream cheese; stir until melted.
Step 6
Serve immediately.
