Gooey Almond Chocolate Banana Brownies

Ingredients

1.5 sticksbutter
melted
2whole eggs
1 cupgranulated sugar
¼ cupbrown sugar
2 tspnvanilla extract
0.5 tspnkosher salt
0.25 tspnalmond extract
1 cupdark chocolate chips
divided in half
¾ cupall purpose flour
¼ cupdark cocoa powder
0.5 tspnbaking powder
2bananas
very ripe, chopped
1 cupalmonds
chopped, divided in half
flaky salt
Instructions
Preparing the Batter
Step 1
-Turn the oven on to 350*F and liberally grease your baking dish of choice, then sift together the flour, cocoa and baking powder into a bowl and reserve.
-In a large bowl over a double boiler, melt half the chocolate with the butter and let it cool for a bit.
-Into the melted chocolate mixture, whisk the sugars, extracts and salt very well then add the eggs one at a time, whisking vigorously after each addition. -Add the dry ingredients, chopped banana and half the almonds to the butter mixture and mix everything with a spatula until just incorporated.
-Evenly spread the batter into your pan then top with remaining almonds, chocolate chips and a generous sprinkling of flaky salt then bake for roughly 20-25 minutes or until the middle is still just BARELY set and a bit wobbly still.
