Instructions

Sushi rice

Step 1
Rinse the rice under cold water until the water is clear.
Step 2
Boil the water and add the rice Cook with a lid on low heat for 15min. Then turn off the heat and put a (paper) towel between the pot and lid. Let the rice rest for another 5-10min.

Add the rice vinegar, salt and sugar and give it a quick stir Let the rice cool on a plate while preparing the other ingredients.

Tuna spread

To a bowl add all the ingredients and mix until well combined.

Onigirazu

Boil the egg for about 8min.

Slice the carrot, avocado, red cabbage and egg.

Place the nori sheet with the tip facing you.

Form a medium square with half of the rice and place it in the center of the nori sheet, but not with the tip facing forward.

Now top the rice with cabbage, tuna, carrots, avocado and egg.
Step 10
Sprinkle on the sesame seeds.

Again fold a medium square with the other half of the rice. Place it on top of the filling.
Step 12
Fold the side corners inward first, and then fold the other two corners. Try to press the nori sheet well and wrap the entire filling.
Step 13
Wrap the onigirazu in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least half an hour before cutting.
