Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Step 2
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
Step 3
Season the chicken tenders with the salt substitute and pepper.
Step 4
Place the flour in a medium mixing bowl. In a second bowl, whisk the egg until smooth. In a third bowl, combine the panko, salt substitute, and garlic powder.
Step 5
Coat a chicken tender thoroughly in flour, then dip it in the beaten egg. Transfer tender to the bowl of panko, and turn it until it is evenly coated. Transfer the tender to the baking sheet. Repeat the breading process with remaining chicken.
Step 6
Spray the chicken tenders liberally on one side with the cooking spray.
Step 7
Bake the chicken tenders on middle rack of oven until they are beginning to brown, 13-15 minutes.
Step 8
Flip the tenders and spray once more with cooking spray. Continue baking until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and panko is golden and crispy, 12-15 minutes.
Step 9
Check to see that chicken tenders are done. Remove from oven or add time as needed.
Step 10
Allow the chicken tenders to cool slightly, then transfer to a plate and serve immediately.
