Instructions

The “Chicken”

Step 1
Mix the flour and all the spices.
Step 2
Throw the squeaky Bean chicken pieces into the flour, toss them around and pull them out.
Step 3
Dip each tender in a glass of water and back into the flour
Step 4
Press the flour into each piece to get a thick coating
Step 5
Heat a deep pan with an inch or 2 the sunflower oil to 180C or until there is a strong sizzle when you sip something into it
Step 6
Fry for 3-4 minutes until the coating is nice and brown

The Gravy

Step 7
Finely dice the onion and fry in the oil on a medium heat until soft
Step 8
Crush in the garlic and fry for a further 2 minutes
Step 9
Add 2 tbsp of the spicy flour used to coat the chicken and fry around for 2 minutes before whisking in the stock
Step 10
Add the marmite and gravy browning to taste and colour preference

The Chips

Step 11
Wash potatoes and cut into 1cm fries
Step 12
Toss in oil, salt, and spices
Step 13
Either air fry for 25 minutes at 180 or oven roast for 30 minutes at 200, turning half way through

The Coleslaw

Step 14
Slice the onion and cabbage into thin strips and grate the carrot
Step 15
Mix the mayo, mustard, lemon juice, salt and pepper
Step 16
Tip this onto the veggies and stir through to combine.
Step 17
Adjust with salt and lemon juice to your liking
Step 18
Serve up!
