12 ozdried pasta
linguini, spaghetti, or fettucine
1 lbshrimp
jumbo, peeled & deveined, pat dry
2 tspcornstarch
salt
2 Tbspsoy sauce
1 Tbspfish sauce
1 Tbspsake
or water
1 Tbspplum extract
korean green plum extract, sub honey or maple syrup
2 Tbspgochugaru
¼ tspblack pepper
3 Tbspcooking oil
1 Tbspunsalted butter
5 clovesgarlic
chopped
3serrano peppers
chopped
3green onions
chopped
sesame oil

Instructions
Step 1
Cook dried pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Reserve some pasta water.
Step 2
Mix shrimp, corn starch, and salt in a mixing bowl and set aside.
Step 3
Combine soy sauce, fish sauce, sake, maesilaek, gochugaru, and black pepper in a mixing bowl and set aside.
Step 4
Heat a large skillet over high heat and add cooking oil. Add shrimp and spread on the skillet to sear evenly. Cook for 1-2 minutes then flip over.
Step 5
Add butter and chopped garlic. Mix well until butter is melted and bubbles.
Step 6
Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet and toss the shrimp quickly. Add the cooked pasta, serrano, and green onions into the skillet. Quickly stir everything together and add pasta water as needed.
Step 7
Turn off the heat. Garnish with sesame seeds and drixxle with sesame oil and enjoy!
