Sweet and Sour Chicken with Ramen noodles

Setup
Step 1
Cut the onion and red bell pepper into pieces


Step 2
Chop the green onions

Step 3
Cut chicken into bite sized pieces

Make the chicken mix

In a bowl, mix the chicken with one tbsp of soy sauce, egg, and garlic powder.

Mix well and season with salt and pepper

Add the cornstarch and mix well

Cook the chicken

In a deep skillet on medium heat, add enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan

Once the oil is hot, drop the chicken pieces one by one

Make sure not to overcrowd the pan

Cook for 4 minutes or until brown and crispy.
Cook the noodles and make the sauce

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil

Cook the ramen noodles for 3 minutes

Drain and reserve

In a bowl, mix the rest of the soy sauce, ketchup, 80ml of vinegar, and 120ml of sugar.




Cook the vegetables and sauce

Discard most of the oil from the pan, leaving about 1 tsbp.

On medium-high heat, cook the peppers and onions. Add the sauce, bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat, add the Ramen noodles and chicken pieces. Mix well.


Plate your dish

Serve sweet and sour chicken and Ramen noodles. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
