Step 1
combine sugar, allspice, pepper, garlic powder, mustard, thyme, salt, and cayenne in a bowl

Pat chicken dry with paper towels
Step 3
Poke 10-15 holes in each chicken with a metal skewer
Step 4
Rub chicken with oil and sprinkle evenly with spice mixture

Arrange chicken skin side up in air fryer basket, spaced evenly apart. Place basket in air fryer and set temperature to 400F. Cook until chicken is well browned and crisp and registers 195F, 27-30 min. Rotating halfway through cooking (do not flip)
Step 6
Transfer chicken to plate, tent loosely with aluminum foil, and let rest for 5 min. Sprinkle with scallion and serve with lime wedge
