Dill Cherry Salad

This is a light salad that pairs well with a heavy meal. I typically serve this at holiday time but it can be served all year round as long as you can find fresh dill. It is not the same without the fresh dill.

Ingredients
6 servings

½ cupmarsala wine

1 ½ cupdried cherries

5 ozslivered almonds

8 cupsromaine lettuce
washed, shredded

1 cupfresh dill
chopped

2 bunchesgreen onions
chopped
Dressing
Instructions
Step 1
1) Add marsala to cherries in a ziploc bag and sit for several hours or overnight
Step 2
2) Roast almonds in oven on 250 degrees tossing every 10 minutes until lighly brown and fragrant; cool and set aside
Step 3
3) Combine dressing ingrdients; set aside
Step 4
4) Combine washed lettuce, dill, onions. in a salad bowl
Step 5
When ready to serve add drained cherries, add almonds and toss adding enough dressing to desired amount
