Instructions

Step 1
First, fill a pot 3/4s of the way full. Bring it to a boil and add other teabags. Meanwhile, slice your apples into whatever shape you prefer.

Step 2
Once boiled, dump sliced apples into the water. Take out tea bags when water darkens. Add 2 cups of Brown Sugar, 1/2 tablespoon of Cinnamon and Ground Cloves, and a handful of Red Hots. Stir and turnover the apples frequently for 20 minutes or until apples are a little soft.

Once apples are done, scoop them out with a slotted spoon into a bowl. Add teaspoon of cloves into the bowl and coat the apples with it. Use the Apple water to make hot Apple cider.

Step 4
Pour a shallow amount of water into a pan. Add apples, a good amount of Brown sugar, and a smaller amount of cornstarch. Your filling may not thicken for quite a few minutes. If it still isn't thickening, add sugar and stir. Once filling starts to thicken add a teaspoon of Cinnamon, ground cloves, and Apple pie spice. Add handful of Red Hots. Stir. Once thickened to your liking, take off heat and let rest.

Step 5
Pour Apple Pie Filling into both the bottom pie crusts. (Pie crust should be ready for filling) Filling most likely will be leftover. I suggest using extra pie dough to make Apple Pie empanadas to go with your cider. Cut top pie crust into strips. Lay three strips evenly on the bottom pie crust. Going the opposite direction, lay three strips evenly on the pie crust. Repeat this but with two strips instead of three. Repeat once more. Do the same to the other pie. Crimp the edges with a fork. Bake until golden.
