Instructions
Step 1
Drizzle oil in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Step 2
Mix the garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, paprika and light brown sugar together in a small bowl.
Step 3
Place the roast in the slow cooker and sprinkle with salt and pepper and rub with the spice blend.
Step 4
Cover and cook the roast on low for 10 hours.
Step 5
Take the meat out of the slow cooker and discard the leftover juice.
Step 6
Shred the meat and add back to the slow cooker. Pour in the barbecue sauce and cook the pork for an additional hour on low.
Step 7
Serve the pulled pork on buns with coleslaw if desired.
